Since I handle Health & Safety and keep the accident logs for a few businesses, I started going through a list of about 30 little mishaps from the last couple of years with them on the line. There was a lot of confusion and a few laughs before they just ended the call after about ten minutes.

Got a call from a fake accident claims number - total scam. The phone rang automatically and after a pause, someone with an Asian accent started saying, “I’m calling about your accident.” When I asked straight up who they were, why they called, and where they were from, they just hung up. Proper dodgy!

This number keeps ringing me up like 7 to 9 times daily, sometimes even more. It’s started on my mobile too, but thankfully I’ve got Truecaller there so I can block them. I keep receiving calls from a number claiming to be an accident claim helpline. However, I have not been involved in any accidents. The person's voice sounded Asian. I simply hung up, but it is quite frustrating that they have my phone number even though I am exdirectory. It's worrying to think about how they might target elderly individuals who live alone and frighten them into sending money. There should definitely be some action taken to prevent these scam calls after they are reported.

It came from a Manchester number, but I'm pretty sure it was actually from somewhere in Asia. Could be some dodgy ambulance chasing, but I'd bet it's just a scam. I’m ex-D and on the TPS list. Properly irritating.

It is highly likely that this call originated from Asia, despite the suggestion that it came from a Manchester number. The caller may be attempting to obtain personal injury claims but it is more probable that this is a scam. As an individual registered on both the ex-directory and Telephone Preference Service (TPS), I find such calls to be extremely bothersome.
