They purport to have ties with Carphone Warehouse and subsequently O2. After I expressed my disinterest and ended the call, the chap promptly rang me back, berating me for being impolite, as if I was somehow misinformed about my own preferences! I got a call from some company pretending to be my phone provider, trying to push me some stuff, but I told them I was already tied into a contract.

He was keen to discuss my service, which is quite ludicrous considering I haven’t been a customer of theirs for over five years. I flat out refused to divulge any information and insisted that they remove my details from whatever database they had, along with a firm request to cease all further calls. To my shock, he turned rather rude, implying that if I didn’t cooperate, he could not guarantee the incessant calls would stop. And wouldn’t you know it, the phone calls have indeed been incessant ever since! It’s clear they’ve purchased outdated lists from some marketing firm, given that these numbers must be ancient. Now I find myself in a position of constant harassment and intimidation, with seemingly no recourse to resolve the issue. It’s high time the government took a stand against such practices.
