Looking at all the complaints people have made about this number, it seems like there’s no stopping these annoying calls. So whenever it rings, I just let it go to voicemail or switch my phone off completely. It’s a pain, but I refuse to engage with them.

Bloody annoying, these persistent pests - answered the phone today and they said they were from O2. They kept insisting they weren’t scammers and were genuine O2, but couldn’t tell me anything about my actual O2 account and then asked for my address and bank info. Seriously, don’t bother picking up this number.

When I used 1471 and called back, a recorded message said it was a call from someone working for O2. I've put in a report with the Information Commissioner's Office since these calls are meant to be illegal. I'm also trying to get hold of O2 to report it but getting through is proving tough :-(

The guy told me he’d passed my info to the telemarketing team but it could take up to 28 working days before the calls finally stop. So now I’m just waiting to see if it works.
