Got a call from someone named Gareth McCann, said he was from Opus Energy but turned out to be from AED. He tried pushing me for all my bank details like sort code and account number. When I said I’d ring back to be sure, he asked why I was acting so suspicious. Contacted Opus about it. Had like 11 missed calls off him. Then he also rang my work and asked my daughter for my bank info. Honestly hope these scammers or their families end up getting scammed themselves.

Got a call from AED - started with "morning, how's it going mate!" sounded all proper and polite. Total scam though. Honestly, pity these scumbags, maybe they've never earned a proper wage in their lives.

Had a chat with someone named Ben who said he was from Opus Energy. He was really rude and seemed clueless about what he was on about, which you’d think they’d know well if they actually worked there. This number has called me before with nonsense. I’ve blocked it now and would honestly tell anyone else to do the same.

This number belongs to AED, based at Project Lower, Stamford House, Northenden Road, Sale M33 2DH, company number 06791787 - total scammers!!! They frequently use fake company names and claim they're calling from other businesses, but it’s obvious it’s them because they spoof phone numbers from legitimate companies. Their phone is 0161 2745573 and email [email protected][###]. Loads of complaints have been made and there's now a file being gathered against them.

They keep ringing me over and over. I can barely understand what they're saying since their English is terrible, but it sounds like they're threatening to shut down my business if I don't give them my name, address, and other details.

Had a ring from this dodgy outfit claiming to be my usual supplier, but turns out they’re actually alpha energy direct! Avoid these lot completely! THE REGULATORS HAVE ALREADY CRACKED DOWN ON THEM. The employees include Mo, Gareth, McCann, Steven Gibbson, Karen Jones, Barry, and Ben. If they get in touch, make sure you report ’em to OFGEM straight away.

had a chat with stephen gibson who said he was ringing from opus energy accounts. but he’s actually a broker who grabbed my mandate info and tried to scam me. i’ve contacted the ombudsman and it’s gone to legal now. be careful, don’t trust these fraudsters!

They kept ringing me constantly! My phone history shows 37 calls within just 6 minutes. They claim they're from Scottish Power trying to update some info. Total fibbers. So freaking irritating!!! Got a call from Teresa at Alfa Enegy, who claimed to speak for a bunch of energy firms - none of which supply us. She tried to fish out details about the business owners and our address. We did update our address on Google recently, so maybe that's why she rang. She was quite impolite, so I wouldn’t share any personal info. Bit sad for Teresa, really, if this is what she has to deal with for work.

Got a call around 9.20am but it was completely silent - I said hello a few times but all I could hear was some background chatter like a call centre. Then they just hung up. I looked the number up online and rang back, told them I’m on the TPS and asked them to take my details off their list so they don’t call me again. The bloke who answered sounded a bit caught off guard by getting a call from me. I didn’t let him say much except to get him to confirm they’d done it. We’ll see if it stops now.
