I didn’t pick up since it didn’t show on my phone as a contact I recognise. I’ve blocked other 0161 numbers before cause they turned out to be dodgy calls, and I reckon this one might be too. Just wish I knew how they managed to get hold of my mobile number.

I've been getting calls from this O2 number on my mobile, even though I'm currently overseas. Just today, they called me, and I explicitly asked them to stop ringing me. Would you believe, just two minutes later, my phone rang again, but all I heard was some random music!

Got two calls from this number today. First time, they said they were from 02. They tried chatting about my pay as you go mobile. Asked if I’d added £25 credit in January (which isn’t true). Then wanted to know what I use my phone for and how much I usually spend topping up. Also asked about how long my credit lasts and what I get for it. I thought 02 would already have all this info, so I just hung up. Didn’t give them any info. Then they called me again, so I’ve blocked the number now.

Proper pain in the neck. They claim they’re calling from 02 and ask for YOUR card info (DON’T GIVE IT) supposedly to sort out a mobile contract, well it’s just straight up harassment. Felt like lowkey bullying.

Spoke to the genuine 02 support and found out this number is actually a third party pretending to be 02 but they have no real link to them. They go after pay as you go users and try to push you into contracts, asking for all your card info. If they don’t have your name when they call, it’s a dead giveaway they’re not legit. Just block them straight away.
