I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, even if it’s something important they’ll leave a voicemail or try another way to get in touch. Just block them. Don’t ring back because it might be a scam that charges you for calling back. Now they’re using 0800 numbers and local area codes to trick you into thinking it’s someone familiar. Our number’s unlisted but they still manage to get through somehow?? Really grateful for these websites and the option to block these annoying calls on both our home phone and mobiles. Just block them!

Got loads of calls from this number today, so I decided to pick up and asked them to take me off their calling list. The bloke (and I say bloke loosely) launched straight into a sales spiel and when I finally tried to say something, he kept cutting me off. When I managed to tell him firmly to remove me from their list, the cheeky sod goes and says I should be called "Sir" then hangs up on me. Should’ve just ignored it - now this number’s definitely getting blocked!!

Blocking a number on your phone is pretty straightforward. Of course, it kinda depends on how new your phone is, but if it’s a modern smartphone, all you gotta do is hold down the number when it shows up. A menu should pop up with a few choices, just pick the one that says block this number and done, no more calls from them.
