Picked up the third time they called within a day and the person asked if they were speaking to me by name. Then she said she was "name" from "Manchester xxxx centre" or something like that, bit unclear. She asked, "How are you today?" and I said straight away, "Please don’t call this number again, cheers," then ended the call. I've gone ahead and blocked the number too.

They even left a voicemail which was strange, no clear message just voices talking quietly in the background. I've blocked these numbers but they just keep ringing from different ones. Bit of a weird one: somewhere out there, my number is linked to someone else's name, and I keep getting loads of cold calls meant for her. Today, a bloke phoned using her name, so I told him I’m not her and kept getting calls for that person. He was from a PPI claims company and said he couldn’t sell me anything since I wasn’t the right person, then suggested I try a call blocking app. Nice enough guy, but doubt he’ll get far being so honest about how to stop nuisance calls!
