Received a call purporting to be from HMRC, featuring a mechanical voice that ominously warned of impending legal measures. When I rang the number back, they requested some personal verification information. The swift response and the distinctive accent made me suspect it was a scam operation originating from an Indian call centre.

I usually don’t pick up if I don’t recognise the number. If it’s something important, they’d probably leave a voicemail, but that never happens with these calls. Not sure who this was meant to be.

Got a call from a woman robot calling herself "Dennis Gray" saying we have to ring HMRC. It’s the same scam as the one from yesterday, just a different phone number this time.

Got a scary recorded message saying it was from HMRC about some unpaid tax. It kept telling me to ring back or else there’d be serious trouble. But there was zero info - no tax ref number or any clue about who they wanted to speak to. Definitely a scam, so don’t bother calling that number!

I recently received a call where the person claimed to be from Customs and HMRC, insisting that I owed them £3,500 in taxes. They were rather intrusive, requesting all my personal information, which I refused to provide. The moment I mentioned calling HMRC directly, they abruptly ended the conversation. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
