How do they manage to get hold of our numbers?! What’s the link that connects us all to this? Is it that we’ve all visited the same site or is there some other way they’ve tracked us down? It's odd how we've all been picked out like this. Also, why does a number from Manchester have anything to do with somewhere in Punjab? Seriously, it’s quite confusing.

Got a recorded message saying it was from HMRC, telling me to ring them urgently or else there'd be legal trouble. Sounded quite threatening and could easily scare older folks. Best not to return the call.

My phone flagged this number as a likely scam, so I decided to ignore it. They did leave a voicemail, which was a robotic voice with a distinctly American accent. There was no introduction or any indication of who they were, just a warning about looming legal actions. It’s clear this message is not from someone familiar with British customs, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I've received a call from this number today as well. I went ahead and blocked it, yet I'm still inundated with voicemails! It's clear to me that it’s a scam, but I’m baffled as to how they're still able to leave messages after being blocked!
