Got a call from someone claiming they were conducting an energy survey around Norfolk & Suffolk. Didn’t catch which company they were with. When I asked if it was a sales call, she said no. I began answering some questions, but as soon as she asked if my conservatory roof was green, it felt like a sales pitch. I told her I wasn’t comfortable and ended the call.

On the 5th of September 2020, around 10 in the morning, a polite lady rang me up. She mentioned right away that the connection was poor, but she said it wasn’t anything important and quickly hung up.

Didn’t pick up since I spotted it was a Norfolk area code - used to be from there before I moved overseas back in 2016. Looked the number up on your website and the details really helped. Got a call from E A E about some survey I apparently did weeks ago, although I have no clue about it. The lady on the phone knew my name and said she wanted to send me vouchers for upcoming work on my house, but needed to ask a couple more questions first. I nicely said I wasn’t keen and ended the call.

Got a call from a lady who knew my name and even my address. She claimed my husband took part in a survey and they were sending us some vouchers for home improvements as a thank you. We never do surveys, so I told her we had no interest in any vouchers. She was fairly polite and ended the call quickly. Just another annoying nuisance call. Was a bit frustrating as I was waiting for a hospital call from Norwich and thought this might be it!

Got a call not too long ago from a Norwich number, but I didn’t answer since I didn’t recognise it. They rang back and the call lasted longer than usual. When I finally picked up the second time, they tried asking for me but messed up my name twice, so I just told them “No”. Pretty dodgy if you ask me!

Some bloke from an energy firm rang me up, speaking super fast. He said I did a survey a couple of weeks back, which I never did. He definitely knew my name though. I mentioned I was trying to get my baby to sleep, but he just snapped he'd ring back in half an hour. Then he hung up on me before I could even say no. Such bad manners!

There was this bloke who kept going on about not being a scammer and said he wanted me to do a quick survey for East Anglian Energy. I told him I don’t do surveys and just hung up. He called back despite me blocking the number, and was still on the line! He even used my name and asked if I owned the house. I hung up once more, and that time he finally stopped ringing.

I had a rather unsettling phone call today, 16th July 2020, from someone claiming I had scheduled a visit to my residence for 10.30am on Friday, the 17th. The caller's tone was extremely confrontational, insisting that I was suffering from memory issues and that they were obligated to report me as someone in need of assistance. They informed me that I would soon be hearing from the local constabulary regarding a warrant for my arrest that required my immediate attention. When I pressed for clarification, they alleged that I had neglected to maintain the roof of my house, which posed a danger not just to myself but to anyone passing by. They claimed that if I wished to avoid being incarcerated, they had been assigned to address the situation. I decided to ring the number back, which was 01603383489.

On Thursday morning around 10:40, I tried calling back the same number, but no one picked up. The day before, at about 12:15am on Wednesday, a guy from East Anglia Energy called me. He actually seemed to know my full name and where I live. His questions were quite quick and to the point, asking about our windows and doors - kinda like a legit company verifying details. It felt strange but also pretty convincing.
