I recently received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Curry's Customer Service, supposedly to chat about an order of mine. The odd thing is, I've never placed an order with them! It was clearly no blunder, as this individual had my full name and home address. Definitely a scam attempt, I reckon!

I picked up and all I heard was silence, then they just ended the call. I’m really tired of getting all these scam and spam calls constantly.

I didn’t pick up 'cos the number looked a bit dodgy, said Lynton on caller ID. That’s a place close by but I wasn’t really expecting any calls from there. It only rang briefly before hanging up. I had a look it up here and wasn’t shocked. I reckon they tried from another number a few days back too. Blocked it now.

This is the fourth call from fake numbers now - the first came from Scotland, then two from Manchester, and finally this latest one. All of them are dodgy Indian scammers claiming to be Carphone Warehouse, trying to sell me a cheap iPhone. First they ask for a deposit, then they suddenly want my sort code and account details, and after that, they want my 16-digit card number and expiry date for the payment. I just told them to jog on, no way am I giving that info!
