This morning got a call on my home phone from someone saying they were with BTOpenreach. They never asked who they wanted by name. The guy speaking had a strong Indian accent and claimed that my internet would be cut off for seven days because some foreigners were trying to hack my IP. When I asked for their number, he gave me an 020 code, but when I checked 1471, it showed a different number than he said. I told him I suspected it was a scam, and he got pretty angry!

Someone claimed to be from BT but it was a total scam. They wanted me to mess about with my computer, which seemed dodgy right away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Mike at B.T, asking me about my last time online. The way he spoke didn’t seem legit or like an official B.T call, so I figured it was probably a scam.
