Got a call from someone claiming to be with call blocking, but it really came off like a typical call centre. Didn’t sound quite right to me.

So I got a call from some call centre dude claiming people had reported me for receiving loads of annoying cold calls. I told him nope, he was actually the first one today, and then he just cut me off. Is this some kinda scam where they block you?
