I received two calls from a gentleman with an Asian accent, who said he was conducting a political survey. I decided not to engage and ended the conversation.

Got a call from this number 07402027563, sounded dodgy, might be some sort of mail scam. Caller wouldn't say who they were. Definitely think you should just block it.

I've been receiving several calls from numbers starting with 01583 about some sort of government survey related to coronavirus. Whenever I don't pick up, they don't leave a voicemail or anything. Quite puzzling, if you ask me!

They kept ringing me a few times every day. When I didn’t pick up, they switched to calling a different number, which was 01582 314550.

This number has been ringing me quite a bit, with calls on the 25th and 29th of October, plus the 5th and 14th of November. The caller is IQR Limited (iqr[###]), a polling outfit from Luton. Their site claims they sometimes use randomly generated phone numbers for research purposes only. Yet, they’ve been calling me despite my number being on the TPS register. Seems pretty dodgy to me. The company is run by Sir Lynton Keith Crosby and Mr Mark Stephen Fullbrook. Honestly, OFCOM should really have a word with them and put a stop to this nonsense.

They called a few times today but didn’t say anything or leave a message. I answered once around 8pm and waited for them to talk, but all I heard was heavy breathing, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from 01582314548 around 10:15 but it just went straight to voicemail, and they didn't leave any message. I looked up the number online and found it's listed on quite a few websites as suspicious, looks like someone pretending to do a survey. I blocked the number and noticed it’s called me four more times since then today.

I got a call earlier but when I picked up, there was nobody on the other end. These sorts of random calls always feel shady, like they're up to no good and probably against the law too. Honestly, they come across as both illegal and risky.

Somebody rang me saying they were from a political poll outfit called IQR. When they asked my views on all the politicians and politics in general, I had to say I wouldn’t want to share - it’s really not something I’m keen on discussing. I just told them no thanks nicely. Fair play to the person, they took my answer without any fuss.

got called by a guy who sounded asian, when i asked for my info he couldn’t give me much, only my last name and address. i kept pressing but that was all he had. i told him if i put his number in google it’ll say ‘scammer’ right away! seriously, folks, don’t be scared to push these jokers to give personal details about you. if they can’t do that, they definitely don’t have your full info like proper companies you deal with would.

Today, 14th Nov 2019, I got a call from the number 01582314548. The guy on the other end had a bit of a foreign accent. When I answered 'hello' a couple of times, he just stayed quiet at first, then repeated "hello" before telling me he was calling for a company conducting a survey about Brexit politics. I wasn’t in the mood so I ended the call after a short while.

Got a call from some market research firm the other day, they were quite polite but kept ringing me at odd times which was a bit annoying. They weren't rude or pushy, just a bit of a hassle since I was busy. Thought they could maybe pick better moments to phone.

Got a call from this number earlier and decided to ring it back. Ended up with an automated message saying something like "thanks for calling" but it was pretending to be HMRC. So I called the real HMRC on their official number and they said they don’t phone people, they only send letters. They told me to report this number to Action Fraud. Watch out, this is definitely a scam! Don’t get caught out!
