I've got a hunch this might be one of those dodgy scammers purporting that you can receive a payout for an excess payment made on your insurance policy.

Blocked them straight away! It's infuriating when you begin to wonder how they even got hold of your information.

Mystery Caller

I keep receiving persistent calls that feel rather intrusive.

I didn’t quite catch the name of the caller. They began with the usual spiel of “this isn’t a sales pitch,” yet swiftly went on to verify my name and address. When I requested to be taken off their list, they weren’t very pleased about it. They ended up ringing me four times!

I chose not to pick up on an unfamiliar number. It’s made three attempts to reach me in just four hours—quite concerning! I've now blocked it, since I suspect it might be a scam. After looking this up here, I’m relieved I didn’t engage.

Received a couple of missed calls earlier today, one at 1:18 PM and another at 1:40 PM. Finally answered on their third attempt around 2:19 PM, but they hung up immediately. The number registered as coming from Lairg, Scotland. I've now blocked it.

They didn’t bother revealing their identity, simply insisted that I answer a trio of questions. After that, they abruptly disconnected the call, only to ring me up yet again.

I had an encounter with a chap from "UK Choice" who was collecting details, yet he seemed quite vague about his purpose. He even inquired about my age and somehow already had my address! Quite peculiar, if you ask me.

I’ve no clue who this is, but I received a voicemail from someone with a rather posh transatlantic accent. They mentioned they’d attempt to ring me again tomorrow. Well, they might, but I won’t be picking up as they’ve been blocked now.

This number has rung me on two occasions, and I don’t recognise it. When I picked up the second call, there was complete silence on the other end. I've decided to block this number now.

I couldn't pick up the call as I was busy dishing up tea at 6 in the evening! They didn’t leave a message, though.

No response received. Based in Lairg, Scotland.
