Had a bloke call me with an Indian accent, knew my name straight away. He said it’d just take half a minute and then I wouldn’t get any more calls. She proposed to ask me three questions, promising that she'd spare me her calls in the future. This unusual call originated from Lairg in Scotland, and I had already dealt with a couple of other calls today from Liverpool and Glasgow. I firmly informed her that I wasn't inclined to respond to her questions, particularly since I hadn't requested her call in the first place. It seems my straightforwardness did the trick, as she promptly ended the conversation!
