got a call from some woman with a foreign accent saying something about ‘chips away’ and insurance i could apparently use 3 times a year to fix chips on my car. honestly, i was more thinking about a packet of crisps for lunch than any insurance. as soon as i told her i’m on the telephone preference service, she instantly ended the call. blocked the number straight away, haha.

I got this robo call saying it was from Amazon, telling me I’d made a £1000 purchase on a card linked to them (which is odd because I haven't used Amazon in ages, and they don’t even have my landline number). The message said to press 1 to confirm the purchase or 2 if there was a problem. I just put the phone down and now I'm trying to get through to Amazon to see what’s going on.

Today I got a call from someone with a foreign accent saying they were from Beneficial. They asked “can you hear?” and I said “I can hear you.” They repeated their intro and asked again, so I answered “I can hear you fine.” After a pause I joked, “Or are you waiting for me to say yes so you can scam me?” Then they just hung up. Not sure if it was a sales call or something dodgy but it felt really fishy. The number showed up as Kidderminster, 01562 542715. Just thought I’d share so others can watch out.

The woman sounded Indian and couldn’t even get my name right. I told her there’s no one here by that name and ended the call straight away before blocking the number. She said she was calling from some place called Benificial or something. Honestly, I’m really curious how they got my number and name since I hardly ever share it, just to avoid dodgy calls like this.

This lady kept mangling my name, so I just told her there’s no one here by that name and quickly ended the call before blocking the number. She said she was calling from something that sounded like “Benificial.” The voice was clearly Indian. Honestly, I’m so curious how these people get hold of my number and name, I never share that info because of these annoying calls.
