Naturally, I denied it, which sent her into quite the tizzy! It’s glaringly obvious she’s not from the 01555 area code in Scotland, and a quick search for her supposed company, Motec Services, yielded absolutely nothing. She claimed to represent a company named "Motor Assist". When I told her that I hadn't had any such accident, there was an awkward silence for about ten seconds, during which I thought maybe the call had dropped. So, I repeated myself, “No, I haven’t, are you there?” Her response was quite rude - she snapped, "I heard you the first time," and then abruptly hung up. I attempted to ring back to file a complaint regarding her unsolicited call and her dismissive attitude. Instead, I was met with a Scottish automated voice instructing me to leave a message after the beep, but before I could do so, the line just went silent. What a dreadful experience!
