Just got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, threatening to disconnect my internet for a couple of months. Some guy with an Indian accent said my internet was causing errors and they needed to access my device or else they’d cut me off. I told him to get lost straight away. Honestly, I’m so fed up with these scammers trying to sneak crap onto your phone or computer to nick your money.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from BT, threatening to cut off my internet for a couple of months. I received a cheeky phone call claiming to be from BT, informing me that my internet would be suspended for a couple of months due to some pesky error messages on their end. An Indian chap on the other end insisted that if I didn’t grant them access to my device, they'd switch off my connection. Naturally, I told him where to go! It’s clearly a scam-just another attempt to gain access to folks' devices for their dodgy schemes. Absolutely infuriating! 👎👎👎

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from BT about my broadband. Sounded dodgy straight away, like one of those fake tech support scams. I just ended the call and blocked the number to be safe. These scammers rip people off with bogus computer help.

Got a call today at 11:41 on 7th August 2017. Exactly like everyone else says, they claimed my computer was full of viruses and if I didn't fix it soon, it’d be shut down or something along those lines. I played along for a bit, but then just told the bloke to jog on in a nice way!

Same as the others, some thick Asian accent bloke kept telling me my PC was packed with viruses but he could fix it. Proper annoying and kept ringing me non stop. Every time I ended the call, they would call back. I told them I spoke to BT and there was nothing wrong, then he just hung up on me. They really deserve to be cut off.

With the endless stream of bothersome calls we get every single day, even though we're on the Telephone Preference Service list, we’ve decided it’s best not to pick up the phone at all. Our answering machine does all the heavy lifting. Interestingly, the person from this number didn’t bother to leave any message.

Got a call from a woman claiming she was Nicole, supposedly from BT tech support. She said my computer was full of junk causing issues with BT’s network, and she offered to fix it for me. When I asked for my name and postcode to confirm, she completely messed them up. Then she just ended the call. I used 1471 to check the number and called it straight back, but it had already been cut off. I really don’t understand why BT doesn’t track these scammers down and put a stop to this. Such dodgy scammers.

Got a call from 01539682473 at 11.51 this morning. Picked up and there was complete silence, then a robot voice just said goodbye. Pretty clear it was some automated system. Really annoying as I had no chance to tell them off properly. Such little jerks!!

Got a call from some bloke with an accent telling me to pay up or my internet would be disconnected. Pretty sure they’re part of a scam ring, probably hanging about near the kebab place in Kendall. Spotting these guys should be a doddle.

I got two calls in one day, first a bloke speaking with an Indian accent, then later a woman, also sounding Indian, who said her name was "Veronica". When I asked if people still actually fell for these kinda scams, she just cut me off.

Constantly being plagued by these bothersome calls. I’ve let the answering machine handle them, but the red light keeps blinking with no messages ever recorded. Occasionally, I pick up a faint murmur, but it's just a jumble of noise with no sense to it. Thankfully, we've turned off the “beep” on the answering machine, or else we’d go absolutely bonkers! Since this number is from the UK, one would think it could be traced and put a stop to it.

Some bloke with an accent rang claiming to be from BT tech support, said there was some problem to fix. I figured it was the usual trick, asking me to log into my laptop. So I flipped it on him, asked for my BT account number. He just froze, couldn’t give me that or even my name and address! Total fail, caught him out straight away.

Got a call from some bloke named Daniel claiming to be from BT, said my service was about to be cut. He had an Indian accent or something. I played along, did what he said, then when he asked what was showing on my phone, I told him it flashed 'you’re getting scammed by an idiot'. He lost it, called me some awful names and just ended the call. Hilarious!

some bloke phoned me saying my bt internet will stop in 2 hours if i don’t get rid of a virus on my computer. i just let him go on and on, then said i ain’t a bt customer and no computer here anyway. i reckon he was trying to get into my pc to nick passwords and bank info or something like that.

Just like what loads of others have said, this bloke gave me barely 2 hours before I had to shut off. This rubbish is everywhere, and I can’t figure out why no one’s doing a thing to get rid of this nuisance. It’s proper annoying.

I managed to keep him on the phone for a while, and he was clearly getting more frustrated as I acted like I had no clue about computers. He had to explain every step really slowly like I was daft. The moment I asked if I should even switch the computer on before trying anything, he completely blew his top. He started shouting about how if I didn’t follow his instructions exactly, I’d be in serious trouble. It was pretty mad!

On 31 July 2017, I got one of those annoying calls again around midday. Some woman claiming to be from BT, going on about my internet being about to get disconnected. I just let her carry on chatting rubbish for a bit, then asked her to give me her phone number. She didn’t like that and just ended the call straight away!
