Got a call at 8:15am with a recorded message claiming to be from Scottish Power, telling me to stay on the line until someone was free. I put the phone down straight away. When I checked our Scottish Power account online, it said the balance was clear, £0.00. Now I’ve had a message urging me to ring the same number to talk about a bill payment. This is definitely a scam, as we don’t owe anything at all. I’m going to contact Scottish Power first thing tomorrow to report this. What really threw me off was that the caller had the precise amount owed on my Scottish Power account, right down to the last penny. Just a few days earlier, I realised I needed to pay a bit. Someone called saying they were Scottish Power wanting to talk about my bill. Thing is, I've already sorted all my payments. Feels dodgy to me, since you can just pay Scottish Power directly through their website. Probably a scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Scottish Power, but I ended up speaking to their customer service instead. Honestly, it's hard to figure out if it's a scam or just Scottish Power being their usual useless selves. 🙄
