Claimed to be Scottish Power, but when I rang their 0800 number after missing calls from this number, the person I spoke to said Scottish Power only uses 0800 numbers for calls. I've received my fifth call this week from someone claiming to be associated with Scottish Power. When I inquired about their name, they spelt out “Nobhead” and promptly disconnected! Absolutely dreadful behaviour. By the way, the caller had an Asian accent.

This number keeps calling me nonstop, and every time I pick up, they come up with a new story. They always ask for my full name first, and as soon as I dont give it, they just cut me off. They keep demanding payment for all sorts of amounts, from a few pence to hundreds of pounds. It’s definitely not Scottish Power, so best just ignore or hang up. They're obviously after my bank info, which they wont be getting from me 😡😡

They seem to possess an alarming amount of information regarding my account. I reached out to Scottish Power, and they confirmed it was indeed spam, advising me to block the number. If it truly is a spam matter, it raises concerns about a serious data breach on their part, especially since I'd only been a customer for a mere two months. I've also taken the step of contacting the ombudsman to lodge a complaint, and I'm still awaiting a resolution on that front.

Asked her to send the details through email instead. The call ended with some weird music playing in the background.

Scam alert - said it was Scottish Power calling from Cape Town, SA. They claimed I owed £743.41 and threatened to send debt collectors, adding an extra £500-£600 on top of the supposed debt. We quickly phoned Scottish Power using a different number and they told us our actual balance was just 52p. Definitely a dodgy call.

Scottish Power - switched to a different provider because of them - they use autodialers and never bother to leave a voicemail! They drag their feet when it comes to removing your details after you’ve paid up and left. Their customer service is terrible, honestly they should be closed down!

Someone said they were from Scottish Power, so I just gave them my name and address since I was expecting a call from them anyway. But when I rang Scottish Power myself, I found out it wasn’t them at all. They told me they'd call me back because of a 'system error' after I said I was switching suppliers and wanted a cheaper deal (which I knew was unlikely), but the call never came. Got tired of waiting, so I contacted Scottish Power directly, and they said they hadn’t called me that day. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call today from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from ScottishPower (I was expecting a call from them anyway). We went over some details and then she said she'd remove my number from their list and that my balance was zero. I'm actually in the middle of sorting my balance with them right now. Honestly, the safest bet is to just hang up and ring ScottishPower yourself.

Said they were from Scottish Power, asking me to confirm my account to give me a refund. Actually, it’s a compensation I’m owed from them. I didn’t give any details. The caller then said they were a call centre in South Africa using autodial. If it really is Scottish Power, their management must be shocking. If not, definitely a scam. They ring me once or twice every day.

When I told them I’d pay if they sent me a bill, they said they can’t do that. When they can’t reach me on my mobile (which is blocked), they ring my landline.
