I've been bombarded with calls from this number, only for them to hang up as soon as the answering machine kicks in. Just yesterday, I had a chat with a woman who had a foreign accent; she began to talk about the Telephone Preference Service, which I’m already signed up for. However, she cut the conversation short the moment I pointed out the nonsense she was spouting. Given the plethora of complaints logged about this number, why on earth isn't anyone looking into it? It’s glaringly clear that it's a foreign scam operation!

I received multiple phone calls before finally answering from a chap with a thick accent, who was trying to gather my personal details under the guise of helping stop unwanted calls. Today I got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, saying she was from TPS. She already had some of my info, like other callers before, and started trying to get me to give my credit card details. She just kept going on and wouldn’t stop talking. I’ve now blocked the number with BT Call Protect. She said she was calling from North London, but I’m not convinced.
