Received a call from 01525839584 on 8th March 2018 around 12:09 GMT but couldn’t answer. When I looked the number up on who-called later, a handful of others had searched it too, but no one had actually posted any feedback at that time. Thinking it might be dodgy, I decided to block the number straight away. After seeing the reviews that popped up since, I’m definitely keeping it blocked.

I keep getting calls like this one, but thankfully my phone just stops them immediately. To the person who said Microsoft called them, just so you know, Microsoft never rings unless you’ve actually asked them to call you first. So this person calling you is definitely up to no good and probably just pestering you. I really hope more people put these numbers on block. It’d be great if these annoying calls just stopped altogether. I’ve started blocking any number I don’t recognise, and it’s made a big difference.

I keep getting these calls claiming to be from some sort of telephone preference service. It's quite ironic, really, as they bombard me with messages insisting they'll cease the incessant calls!

I’ve had this number ring me a couple of times within thirty minutes. Luckily, the who called me app sends me alerts, so I could block it quickly. Still ended up having to add it to my block list. Just a heads up, the last digits seem to swap about when they call.

This has scam written all over it. If BT and the TPS could actually stop these dodgy calls, they’d have sorted it for all of us by now. Nobody wants random calls bothering them out of the blue like this. Honestly, BT and the TPS should step up and handle this better. Right now, it feels like they’re just letting these annoying calls go on, wasting everyone's time.

Had a caller yesterday who asked if we were getting loads of dodgy calls, then said our TPS registration wasn't valid. They tried to find out who I was and even demanded my credit card expiry date, saying they were from Microsoft. The bloke was pushy and wouldn’t stop ringin’ so I just hung up. Since lunchtime on 8/3/2018, we’ve had a few more calls while we were out, plus one again this morning. I’ve blocked the number now like others suggested. Fingers crossed that sorts it out.

We got calls from a man and a woman with an aggressive Asian accent ringing us six times. The first few calls involved them saying we weren’t protected from nuisance calls anymore. When my husband picked up, he got the same spiel and they started asking for details about our bank account. He just hung up straight away. It was obviously a scam, so next time I told them to stop calling or I’d report them. The woman then got quite rude, so I ended the call. They rang a couple more times after that, but I just ignored the calls once I recognised the number.

I’ve been getting calls from this number and some others that just differ by the last digit, like nonstop for a few days now, probably 4 or 5 times every single day. They claim to be from the Telephone Preference Service. When the caller asked if it was my number I played along and said something like “well, who exactly are you trying to reach then?” After a short silence, he suddenly shouted at me to “F off!” and just ended the call. Quite rude, honestly!

Got a ring from some telephi service folks about blocking calls - total rip off if you ask me. Also had two calls just yesterday from a number finishing in 582, pretty much the same deal. Don’t be tricked into believing they’re linked to the TPS, that’s probably exactly what they want you to think.

i got a call from a woman who sounded asian and she wanted to talk to me directly by my name. i just told her no thanks, wasn’t up for a chat. the number had an english area code but seemed dodgy, probably some kind of scam and i wasn’t about to hang around and find out.

Just got a call from this number, it started off dead quiet. I said hello but before I could say anything else, they were already hanging up after a bit of silence. Then I caught a woman’s voice but I didn’t pick up again. After checking out all the other comments here, I’m really pleased I didn’t get involved!

got a call from someone with an asian accent claiming to be from the telephone preference blocking team. they asked me to confirm some details and wanted what they called a ‘card id’, which i soon figured out was actually my sort code. i refused to share it. after going back and forth with three different people, they finally gave up and hung up, probably when they saw i wasnt going to cooperate!

I got a call from Leighton Buzzard that sounded like it was actually coming from abroad, probably somewhere in Asia. The guy on the line knew my name and was asking me to confirm it. I just ended the call straight away. Would definitely tell anyone else to hang up too. Honestly, really thankful for 1572!
