I keep getting these annoying calls and it's really getting on my nerves. Weird thing is, my caller ID shows an international number but the area code is actually from Milton Keynes. When I asked the guy, who sounded Asian, where he was calling from, he said West London. Honestly, I’m baffled by this.

No clue who these people were or what company they claimed to be from, but they really left my 93-year-old mum rattled. They kept pestering her to give over her bank info, asking again and again. Luckily, she was sharp enough to hang up on those dodgy callers! Even now, three hours later, she’s still quite upset. Honestly, the government ought to step in and stop these con artists! Then again, if they can’t even manage to get us out of the EU properly, I’m not holding my breath that they’ll tackle this anytime soon!

This number kept ringing me non-stop on Monday, like TEN times from about 1 in the afternoon until 7pm, and then it buzzed again Tuesday morning. Lucky for me, my phone’s set up to block them so I didn’t answer once. Honestly, the government needs to do more than just talk rubbish about fixing this problem - they ought to actually take real action and sort it out for good.

This number kept ringing my phone about ten times from afternoon till evening on Monday, like between 1 and 7 pm. Then it buzzed again early on Tuesday. Luckily my phone settings blocked them every single time. Seriously, I’m fed up of the government giving us nothing but empty promises about sorting these nuisances out - they really need to take proper action and stop faffing about.

So this bloke named Gareth from some tel selection service called me up. When I asked for his ID, he got really pushy and rude. Got called by an Asian TPS scammer around 14:36 when I had a bit of free time. I took the mick and fed him a load of rubbish, then when he asked for more info I told him to wait while I grabbed my glasses to read my card. I didn’t speak to the guy properly, so no name or details, but he was definitely after something. Got a call from some bloke saying he's Mr Jones from Telephone Preference Management trying to get my direct debit info. I’m already signed up with the legit Telephone Preference Service on the internet. It’s clearly a scam. The guy was pretty pushy and has rung me more than three times. Honestly, the simplest trick I've found for these annoying calls is to have Winston Churchill’s speech playing on my voicemail. Once they catch the "we shall fight on the beaches" bit, they almost always hang up pretty quickly. Tried and tested, really does the job every time. You should give it a go! :)
