Total scammer, that 01670510005 number. Wouldn’t trust it for a second!

Got a call from an Asian guy who somehow knew my name and address. He said he was from the Telephone Preference Service and warned our service would get cut off if we didn’t pay up. Total nonsense, as that service should be free. When he rang for the third time, I just blocked the number. Fingers crossed he doesn’t keep trying different UK-looking numbers to get through.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent asking if I get lots of pest calls. When I said yes and told him his call was one of them, he didn’t seem to get it and went on trying to sell me some service to block annoying calls. It was hilarious - he just hung up after I kept telling him his call was a nuisance!

I've had this number ring me six times today and it did the same yesterday! I refuse to pick up, but honestly, it’s becoming quite bothersome.

Yesterday I got a handful of calls, about 5 or 6, from numbers starting with 01525 like 01525460663 and 01525510026. Loads of folks on here mention 01525551008 and 01525460664 too, all saying they’re some kind of TPS or Windows nonsense scams. Now, I just ignore any call from a 01525 number since I don’t know anyone local to that area. Bit unfair on honest businesses there if everyone does this though. I’m kinda thinking of picking one up one day and blasting my kazoo right into the receiver just for a laugh!

I've received numerous calls from this number, including one at the ungodly hour of 7:07am! It’s quite perplexing because when I pick up, there’s complete silence on the other end. I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, so it’s beyond me why these irritating calls keep coming. It's incredibly frustrating! I attempted to return the call, but was met with a message stating that the number isn’t in service. I strongly recommend steering clear of these calls and suggesting everyone report them if they come across the same nuisance.

This 01525 510005 number keeps ringing me on and off the past few days. Every time I answer, nobody’s there. I tried calling it back and got a message saying the number isn’t active. Proper annoying!

Got a call from 0152551005 this morning at exactly 7.17am. Honestly, how do you block these annoying pests? Luckily, my phone lets me block numbers so I've just done that. 7.17 in the morning?! Seriously, who calls that early? What a pain.

Keep getting calls from someone claiming to be from TPS, and they've buzzed me like six times today alone (20/2/2018). I'm seriously thinking of getting a whistle or something to deal with it - heard it works wonders!

Got a call from a guy speaking broken English, claiming my telephone preference service would expire at midnight. He asked for my debit card number and the 3 digits on the back to ‘reactivate’ it. Told him there’s no need since the service is free and no card details on file. He kept insisting, “I’m not selling you anything.” Yeah, right - clearly just trying to scam me. Spent about 15 minutes on the phone wasting his time so hopefully someone else doesn’t fall for it. BLOCKED and will ignore any future calls from that number.

So this evening I saw that this number had rung me like ten times, which was pretty annoying. When I tried calling back, it said the number wasn’t in service anymore. Luckily, my call blocker from B.T. had already stopped most of the calls from coming through. I’ve now gone ahead and blocked the number completely. Based on what I’m reading here, I’d say this looks pretty dodgy and possibly dangerous.

Got a call earlier about my computer, but i told them I don't even own one and asked them to stop calling. Pretty certain they've rung me a few times before, claiming to be from some computer company. When i answered, there was silence first and then some guy with a weird accent started chatting away. Watch out, feels like a total scam!

I don’t recognise numbers often, so I usually pop the number into “Who-called-me” first. Happy I went that route this time - loads of useful warnings and feedback in the comments.

This number has called me a few times lately, saying they're from some kind of phone preference service. When I asked if signing up with them would stop their calls, cause they're getting on my nerves, the woman with an Asian accent asked if I thought she was bothering me. I told her yeah, and then I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming they were from TPS, started grilling me about my address and whether I use credit or debit cards online. Bit dodgy if you ask me, so I’ve blocked the number straight away. Then, on Sunday, got another call from 01525510006, this time an Asian woman asking the exact same stuff. Total scam, stay clear of those!

Had two calls not long apart, both from someone saying they’re with the Telephone Preference Service. First was a woman with an Asian accent, but she hung up pretty quick after I started messing around. Then a guy called, sounded Asian too, and was a bit more pushy trying to get info from me. I stalled him for ages before he finally quit. They’re after your bank card info so they can clear out your account, so watch out for that.
