Received a call today from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Openreach. Since I had just sent them an email inquiry, I was momentarily taken in by her pitch. But within mere moments, she mentioned that my broadband was supposedly compromised. Given my background as a software engineer, I’m quite confident that I’d notice if something was amiss. Realising this was likely a scam, I fed her a sarcastic "Oh really?" to which her response was, rather rudely, "Oh shut up!" before she unceremoniously ended the call. Quite the cheek!

Today, I received a call from this number and a woman with an Indian accent claimed she was from Openreach. Since I had emailed Openreach earlier with a query, I assumed it might be legitimate at first. But within seconds, she said my broadband connection was "corrupt," which sounded completely off to me - I'm a software engineer, so I’d know if there was an issue like that. Realising it was probably a scam, I said “Oh really?” and she snapped back with “Oh shut up!” before abruptly ending the call.
