Got a call from someone claiming to be BT business wanting to offer a broadband upgrade. They had our exact phone number and address but never asked for any account info. They followed the usual BT spiel and sounded really legit. Towards the end, they started asking for personal stuff like date of birth, mobile number, email, and even wanted me to set up security questions. Something felt off so I decided to phone BT directly and turns out it wasn't them at all. Just a warning to be careful!

I got a call from someone saying they were from BT and had upgraded my hub and changed call charges... they didn’t ask for any bank info or my BT account number which made me a bit wary. Then about a week later, BT started texting me about someone trying to take over my phone number. So watch out - this sounds like a scam. The woman who rang me from this number said her name was Jess.
