Got a call from a lady claiming to be from some firm called ARC. She already had my name which got me a bit suspicious. When I asked what they actually do, she said they deal with HMRC and that I had some sort of refund coming, needed to verify a few things. I told her there was no refund owed to me and ended the call right away. I've blocked that number now but I reckon more calls will come through from similar ones - they just tweak a couple of numbers so they can keep ringing!

I keep getting calls from loads of numbers that look like they're nearby, but I’m pretty sure they're from abroad. These scammers just keep trying and trying. If you don’t know the number, best just to ignore it. Real callers usually leave a voice message anyway.

Somebody rang me up and knew my first name, asking if I'd got any money from when I applied for PIP a couple of years back. He claimed I might owe money from HMRC. I told him to prove it by sending me an email, then he just hung up.
