I just got a call from them asking to speak to my wife (I think it’s because I put my number on her car insurance form online). Like others have said, they said it wasn’t a sales call and it was about an accident from a couple of years ago. I said I didn’t want to talk and asked to be taken off their list. Then they said they can’t do that unless my wife agrees! Mind you, they called me first! So I just ended the call and blocked them.

Got a call from some dodgy bloke saying I’d been in a crash over two years ago. Told him he was barking up the wrong tree and we ended up having a proper row. No doubt it was a scam. Just blocked the number.

They knew my name, but that was all. When I asked for which regulator they were representing, they couldn’t say. Seemed dodgy, probably just trying to drum up business, maybe looking for legal claims.

Its a PPI firm that just drops the call if you ask where they got your info from. The moment you try to opt out, they hang up, so the ringing never ends coz they just pass your number on to someone else and the cycle goes on.

Some bloke named Brett from First Call rang me today, claimed he was handling my case and assured it wasn’t a sales pitch. He was asking about an accident I supposedly had 2.5 years ago, where my car got damaged - front, middle or rear. I told him I did have an accident then but he asked when exactly and if it was more than 2.5 years ago. I said no, and that I wasn’t even driving at the time. Pretty sure they've phoned me before and I already told them to remove my info, obviously they didn’t bother!

Got a call from someone claiming to be checking up on my insurance after a car accident. When I asked which accident they meant, they said they couldn’t say. Like others have said, got a call about some satisfaction survey for a car insurance claim after a traffic accident. My missus told them I was out for ages! The bloke said he’d ring back in a few weeks. That gives me time to figure out a way to mess about with them. I reckon it’s one of those personal injury claims firms. A mate once had a similar call, he told them he’d actually died in the accident and asked if he could still claim. The caller sounded proper baffled chatting to someone “dead” but kept going anyway. These accident claim scammers ring up sayin you’ve been in a road accident, supposedly from some insurance database. When I asked for date, time and place, they said they couldn’t share that info cause of data protection rules :) Never heard of not being allowed to know details about yourself! Ridiculous, right? Next time they called, I pretended to go along with it. Got the call on record, which is totally legal. At the end, I told them what I do for a living...turns out I’m a f##king solicitor. Haven’t heard from them since.
