12 yearsI got a call from this number and the person claimed to be from Sky. They asked if there was any issue with our broadband. When I mentioned it had been lagging a bit recently, the caller asked how long it had been like that. Then he said it seemed like someone was trying to break into our computers. After asking what kind of computer I had, he insisted on walking me through some steps to fix it. Since it was only 8 in the morning, I told him I was getting ready for work and couldn’t really talk. He responded saying their team works until 4pm and that he’d ring back around 3. I’m definitely not answering that one again...Sky12 yearsThis number rang me while I was off work, so I picked up out of curiosity. The person said they were from BT Open Reach and told me my computer was infected with some nasty software. They wanted me to switch on my PC so they could guide me through fixing it. I told them to just email me the instructions instead and I'd look at it later. They never used my name once during the call.
