This number rang my dad pretending to be from HMRC saying he owed cash and would get busted if he didn’t pay. My dad’s a tough old bloke and just told them to get lost! They never rang again. (He’s actually hoping they do, got a few choice words ready to give them!) Not everyone’s brave enough to face these scammers head on.

I have no idea who the number (01517050127) is, seems to be from Liverpool but I don’t know anyone from there. I didn’t pick up as I only answer if I know the caller, otherwise it’s a waste of time. I actually got rid of my landline cause of too many annoying calls. Now the same rubbish is happening on my mobile. Loads of companies won’t even speak to you till you give them all your info. Then they just keep calling you nonstop!

Someone rang claiming to be from AEC, but when I asked who that was, they just shouted 'AEC' like that was meant to clear things up. I checked if everything was alright, but they hung up straight away. If they were genuine, that was pretty unprofessional - more likely they were just trying to scam me.

These people are total scammers, I use an app called True Caller that shows which numbers are legit. When a dodgy call comes through, it marks it in red straight away, like if it’s some PPI lad trying to trick you, so you can decide if you wanna pick up or not.

I've been receiving a barrage of calls lately. Every time I pick up, there's a loud voice yelling something before they abruptly hang up. This morning, I hit my limit and called them back. A chap with a strong Scouse accent picked up, claiming to represent ADI Assist. He was incredibly impolite and flat-out dismissed my account of the situation.

I’ve utterly had it with the relentless invasion of my privacy, and it feels like there’s absolutely no way to put a stop to it. It's not just one number either. Nowadays, I simply refuse to pick up my mobile for any unknown caller, which means I often lose out on crucial calls from folks reaching out for the first time whose details I haven’t saved yet. If only I could figure out how to take legal action against these nuisances.

They mentioned my name and claimed they were calling about an accident I supposedly had, stating they represented the Accident Aftercare Team. The person had a strong Scouse accent, but I haven't been in any accidents at all. I decided to terminate the call right away.

I received a call from this number earlier. The chap on the line seemed utterly clueless about who he was ringing. I greeted him, and after a few awkward moments, he hesitantly asked, "Erm, is this Mr....?" I found it baffling, as he was the one making the call! I've decided to block the number now.
