Really odd, they called me using the wrong name and then apologised, asking me to verify my address, full name, and date of birth so they could update their files. I said my name was Mr Paul Skinback, my address was 4 Skin Road, and my birthday was 6/6/66. I checked if they needed anything else and they said no, Mr Skinback. Since that call, they’ve phoned me 18 times within 7 hours. I’ve now blocked the number.

This lady called me and used my first name right away. She said something about a car crash I was supposedly involved in, which I'd never had, so I just ended the call. I've blocked the number since then.

I looked up this number on Google and tried a reverse phone search, which showed it belongs to a mobile network provider called EE (also known as Everything Everywhere). Still, I just let the call go to voicemail since I never pick up when I don’t know the number.

These lot reckon I’m the unluckiest driver around since I keep getting NO FAULT ACCIDENTS. But whenever I ask “WAS I HURT?” they just dodge it, saying it’s data protection. I have a bit of banter with them, get on their nerves, then hang up. Might scare some people, though. Best to not take their nonsense seriously. They should stop mucking about and find real jobs instead of pestering us.

Someone called me earlier and called me by a totally different name, then started laughing and singing for no reason.

Got a call saying I might be owed cash from a crash I had last year. Asked for specifics like when it happened and how they got my info, but they just said it was some third party and wouldn’t give me any details. They were rude, kept interrupting me and when I asked them twice to stop, they just ignored me. Ended up blocking the number straight away!

What I usually do with any random numbers I don’t recognise is just pick up and stay silent on the line. They tend to drop the call really quickly. Then I just block the number straight away.

It feels like everyone these days is all messed up, like their minds have been scrubbed clean. Got a call from someone in Poland, couldn't make heads or tails of what they were saying. UK's becoming a bit like Poland, you know? Hardly anyone in England speaks proper English on calls anymore.

I tried calling back a missed call a few times till a young lass finally picked up and asked what I wanted. I told her about the missed call and she mentioned it was from att or something. Then she started asking if I’d had any accidents, I said no and she just went “right, I’ll take you off their records” and then just cut me off.

I had an unexpected call from a number I didn’t recognise. They didn’t leave any voicemail, so I thought I’d ring them back. The number was registered in Liverpool, but when I got through, it sounded like I’d stumbled into a bustling call centre. A bloke answered with a simple "hello" and didn’t bother to identify himself or the company. This all struck me as rather suspicious, so I quickly ended the call and decided to block the number. I reckon it’s yet another dodgy attempt at scamming by some unlawful individual or group trying to pull a fast one on unsuspecting folk like us.
