2 yearsMy phone showed Liverpool when this number rang me. I picked up and just said "hello". The person replied with "hello" too, then asked "can you hear me?". I told them I could hear, didn't want to say "yes" in case they were recording it for something dodgy. They mentioned being from some network, but I didn’t quite get which one. I just said “not interested” and ended the call while they were still talking. Honestly, don’t bother picking up if this number calls you. I’m blocking it now.Liverpool2 yearsSo, someone rang me claiming to be from Sky, saying they wanted to help me upgrade my MySky app. I refused to give my email, kinda felt odd about it, and they just started yelling at me to ‘go to hell’. Weirdly, they didn’t hang up either, even after I said I thought it was dodgy. Then the guy kept saying I was wasting his time (funny, considering!) and out of nowhere asked if I could name a woman to be his girlfriend. Seriously strange!Sky2 yearsGot a call from someone claiming they were with O2, but it turned out to be a total rip-off. Watch out!2 yearsPicked up and it was one of those typical scam calls. Ended the call straight away, but then they rang me back three more times. What a pain!2 yearsThis definitely seemed like a dodgy scammer.2 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be O2, pushing me to switch my account to some new platform and asking for my info. The guy was really impolite and definitely sounded like he was calling from an Indian call centre. Pretty sure it was a scam.2 yearsGot a phone call off this number but didn’t pick up. Had a look at the reviews and it seems like it might be linked to Virgin or O2, which is strange as I reckon I’d save those. Anyway, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it, and reported as well.Virgin2 yearsThis number rang me but I chose not to pick up.2 yearsGot a call from some call centre in India claiming to be from 02 network. Definitely a scam, best thing to do is just ignore and block them straight away.2 yearsGot a call on my phone from someone saying the 02 and EE merger was causing issues for some folks. I've had calls like this before. Told him I wasn't having any problems and hung up. Then he called straight back. I told him again I had no issues and to stop calling me. He tried to say something like "hold on, listen" but I cut him off and ended the call. I've blocked the number now.O2EE2 yearsIt sounded like somebody from Virgin Media customer support, but they just hung up on me straight away.Virgin Media2 yearsI kept getting hounded for my email address from this bloke claiming to be from Virgin/O2. When I requested him to provide my name, he faltered. It felt rather dodgy, to be honest. Just a few hours earlier, I had a similar call with the same script, also linked to a London number. Best to steer clear of these chaps!VirginLondonBest2 yearsI found myself in a bit of a pickle with a lady on the phone - to be honest, I struggled to grasp what she was on about. She was keen to put me in touch with someone who could sort out my issues with O2, but as soon as she attempted to transfer me, I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up. I chose to brush off her subsequent two calls. Just to clarify, I’m not even a customer of O2! I reckon the lady was quite taken aback that I was engaging with her for so long; I just find it rather entertaining to see where their spiel leads next!2 yearsTotally a scam, best to just ignore it!2 yearsDefinitely a scam, best not to pick up!Submit Your Own Report (0151 528 9729)
