I gotta say, this is the call that’s actually kinda fun to deal with. Just yesterday, I got a ring from some overseas guy talking about a claim I'd supposedly made (which I definitely haven't). And get this - he didn’t even know my name! Isn't it hilarious how annoyed they get when you start messing with them? Totally priceless.

I’m on the TPS and still got called this morning. I was just having a coffee, so I let it go for a bit. After the usual spiel, I asked where he’d got my number from, what their deal was, and what they hoped to achieve. He said he pulled it from a list! Said he wasn’t selling anything, just told by solicitors to let people know they might have a claim. I told him that if solicitors were involved, he had no business ringing me up directly and to take my number off his list, with no more calls please! 😊

My landline rang around 4.40pm today but I just let it go unanswered. Later on, I called 1471 to see who had called me, and it showed the number 01515287331. Honestly, I hardly pick up my landline nowadays because everyone I need to talk to has my mobile and just texts or rings that. I’d recommend others do the same - if you’re not waiting for a specific call on your landline, just let it ring out. Then you can ring 1471 to check who tried calling you, if your phone line offers that. If you don’t have that option, maybe chat with your provider about activating it. Better yet, if you’re fed up with nuisance calls, ditch the landline altogether so only people you know have your mobile can get in touch. And seriously, why aren’t phone companies or the government cracking down harder on these persistent pest callers? They’re invading our privacy. If any of us kept harassing someone over the phone like that, the police would be knocking on our door for sure.

At first, there was just silence. I tried saying hello a few times before someone finally answered. It was a woman named Jessica claiming to be from some Accident Investigation Department. She wanted me to provide details about someone involved in an accident, which seemed a bit dodgy. I told her to send me a letter instead because I wasn’t about to share any info with a random caller. She then promptly hung up on me.
