Someone rang claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my PC. It's a total con, so never agree to install any programs they ask for or let them get into your computer or any gadget linked to the internet. Just block the number and let your phone company or Action Fraud know. If you’ve already let them on your device or lost any cash, make sure you contact Action Fraud right away.

I found it quite challenging to make sense of the conversation as the person on the other end was in an incredibly loud environment and spoke with a prominent Asian accent. I decided to end the call before it became too frustrating.

I'm not entirely sure if this was some kind of scam or not. When they called me, I just ignored it and then tried to figure out who it was. I called the number back but only got an automated message with no one picking up. From what I caught, the caller mentioned something like "SOFT DEBT" or something similar. I'll give it another go and if I manage to talk to an actual person, I'll post an update here...
