I just got a call from 0203 918 8665 which I’d already blocked, then another one from this new number that I had to block too. Why doesn’t the ICO do something about stopping these UK numbers being sold to scammers? Pretty soon I bet I’ll be getting calls from a 0161 number, just to keep getting blocked again.

Someone rang me asking for my husband by his name, and when I asked who it was, they said, "This is Helen from the life insurance department." I told them I had no clue who that was and they had the wrong number, to take me off their list. Helen didn’t sound like she was from Liverpool either, so I just said “Goodbye” - no idea what the hell the life insurance team is all about!

Got a call about insurance, they said my first name but wouldn’t let me get a word in, kept pushing if I was (my name). I said I wouldn’t confirm anything, and they told me to calm down like twice. They said I had a mortgage, which is rubbish, and I could hear people giggling in the background. Refused to put me through to a manager though.
