I received a rather peculiar call from this number yesterday, inquiring about a car accident I’ve never been involved in (just to clarify, I haven’t). I pointed out that she must have heard the international ringtone and should have realised that it would cost me to answer. In a rather cheeky manner, she retorted that I ought to have simply ignored the call. As if I can just dismiss every call for the fear it might be someone like her! I couldn’t take any more of her nonsense and ended the conversation abruptly. To make matters worse, I think they’re trying to wind me up as I had a call from the same number again this morning, but thankfully, I’ve blocked them.

Yesterday, I got a call from this number claiming there was a road accident involving me - which wasn’t true at all. I asked the caller if she noticed the foreign ringtone and pointed out she should've just ended the call since it would’ve cost me to pick up. She snapped back, saying I shouldn’t be answering calls if I’m worried about charges. Like I can just ignore every unknown number, right? I got fed up and ended the call. Then this morning, the same number tried ringing again, probably just to irritate me, but luckily I’d already blocked them.

I made it clear that I wanted them to cease their phone calls, as I don’t even drive, let alone be involved in any accidents elsewhere in my life. Honestly, I’d rather not have my number registered with them in the first place, but I suppose we’ll see if this does the trick. If it doesn’t, I might have to raise a proper fuss!
