Phone number ☎️ 01513293701 👆 is reported as a persistent and often aggressive caller claiming to act on behalf of HMRC, primarily as a debt collection agency known as DRS. While some confirm DRS is a legitimate HMRC contractor, many users experience harassment, vague or withheld details, and demands for payment to private accounts, raising strong suspicions of scam activity. Calls often target company directors, appearing intimidating or confusing, especially for the elderly, with numerous messages and texts urging call-backs or visits to suspicious websites. Legitimate HMRC communications always provide clear references and do not pressure recipients. This caller was trying to pass themselves off as BT which is absolutely dodgy. Definitely a scam, so watch out and don’t fall for it!

I've gotten a few calls from this number, plus a letter claiming they're after me for unpaid taxes. Checked my online tax account and there’s no record of this, so don't think it’s really HMRC. Then they sent a text saying they could help sort out my debt, to which I replied that I’m already handling it. Never actually spoke to anyone because whenever I try to call back, the line just drops. Pretty odd behaviour if you ask me!

Got a sketchy call the other day. The person said it was about my company but never mentioned which one. They wanted my name and what I do there, so I told them since it's not a secret. Then they claimed to be from HMRC and said they’d ask some security questions. I told them I don’t deal with such calls and ended the call. Seriously, don’t give out security info over the phone to unexpected callers!

Got a call from a robotic woman claiming to be from ?DRS. She knew my son’s name which is odd because how does that connect to my number? Pressed 1 to speak with someone and then she started rambling about emails, security codes and references. Feels like a scam or phishing attempt to me.

The caller refused to explain the purpose of their call unless they confirmed they had me on the phone. I told them I don't appreciate unexpected calls, especially when they won’t even say what it's about. Then I asked them to take our details off their records.

They somehow got hold of my info without asking me. When I questioned them, it turned out to be some scam from a company in Liverpool just trying to swindle people out of their cash. They won’t share their own info, so why should I have to? People really need to understand their rights - if there’s no contract, you don’t owe them anything.

I've had a couple of calls from someone who didn't bother to say who they were. They're asking for the director of some company I've never even come across. When I told the bloke that they’ve got the wrong number and asked him to take us off their list, he ended the call pretty quickly. Bit rude if you ask me.

Got a few voicemails during Christmas from some automated message saying they're from DRS. They left a callback number and a reference I should mention. They even talked about their opening times and threw in something about the Coronavirus situation. When I looked up the number, all I found were results on sites much like this one. Nothing good, really.

I've been getting calls and texts - no voicemails though - saying they're from a doctor’s office. They give you a reference number and even send a website link. They rang our showroom but I didn’t manage to pick up. I looked into it after reading a comment here saying it’s a legit and registered firm - but the number on their official site isn’t the same as the one that’s been phoning loads of businesses nearby. Seriously, don’t hand over the company director’s name; they ought to tell you whose debt it actually is.

This is just another scam, like loads of others out there. If it was a genuine call from HMRC, they’d easily give their name, job title, the company details and anything else needed to prove their identity. But since they refuse to share that info, it’s obviously a con. This number definitely needs to be blocked for good. I’ve never been behind on any payments or got any warning letters from HMRC, so why on earth would they be ringing me? Total rubbish. These people are just scammers and crooks, nothing more.

I called DRS - Debt & Revenue Services recently and wanted to share my experience. They are a genuine debt collection company acting on behalf of HMRC. Before speaking to them, I made sure to verify their details with the FCA, which I’d definitely recommend anyone to do if you’re unsure about a financial organisation. They also told me that HMRC officially lists them on their site as authorised agents. Honestly, if you’ve nothing to hide, there’s no harm in being open with them - unless you’re trying to dodge tax payments, then that’s a different story!

If you do owe someone money, make sure you speak to them directly so you know exactly who you’re dealing with.

I got two texts from numbers starting with 0151, both saying to call HMRC. First from 0151 329 3702, then another from 0151 327 3701. Really glad I checked these before ringing back.

Received a call about a HMRC debt that I never owed. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Since before Christmas, I've been getting nonstop calls and texts from DRS - easily over 50 by now. It's honestly just harassment. There's no actual debt; they’re just assuming some money is owed to CH or HMRC because the company dissolved, but that's impossible since the company no longer exists. Still, they keep ringing and messaging me. I’ve tried calling them to ask politely for my number to be taken off their list, and it helped for a bit, but only lasted a few weeks before the calls started again.

Took a peek at the reviews prior to responding - fortunate that I did, as I shall now be blocking this number.

I can confirm that this is indeed authentic information. DRS, which operates under Ardent, is actually a debt collection agency working for HMRC. If you're interested, you can verify this on their official website at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/what-will-happen-if-you-do-not-pay-your-tax-bill#hmrc-and-debt-collection-agencies.

I concur with the previous comments-there seems to be a dodgy outfit known as DRS that purports to be affiliated with HMRC. It's rather suspicious, as it appears someone has insider access to HMRC records and is leaking information to them. As a proprietor of a modest enterprise, I find it rather alarming, as these con artists tend to ring us up whenever any PAYE dues are outstanding, trying their luck at intimidation.

I received a message on my voicemail from someone searching for a man, though they didn’t identify themselves. Thank goodness I didn’t pick up! I’m based in Scotland, so it was quite odd.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BRS, it was a recorded message asking me to press 1 to speak with an agent, but as soon as I pressed the button, the call ended straight away.

This number appears to be dodgy... I've had numerous unanswered calls during the wee hours, around 3 to 4 in the morning.

For the past six weeks, I've been inundated with daily calls, voicemail messages, and texts ever since I deregistered my business. Even after blocking the number, their automated system somehow finds a way to still leave messages. It turns out the culprits are from a company called DRS, which operates as some dodgy debt collection outfit. If you’ve ever had a situation where you “might” owe money, brace yourself, as they’ll reach out, trying to convince you that you actually do owe something. It’s truly a scam-like if you fall behind on your VAT return, they’ll fabricate a debt and claim they're acting on behalf of HMRC to collect it. If you genuinely owe money to HMRC, do yourself a favour and reach out to them directly; steer clear of this lot. While they might have some agreements to collect genuine debts for a few firms, I genuinely recommend going straight to those companies instead of through these DRS charlatans. Stay vigilant!

Just got a call from 01513293701, some scammer asking for my personal info. Best thing is to just hang up and don’t give them anything!

Some woman called and actually said thanks for picking up! She wanted to talk to the owner or director of this business she named. I told her she’d rung the official office but the director isn’t here. Out of the blue she said she’d remove our number from their list. I reckon it’s probably some kind of debt collector, knowing the company she mentioned.

Got a call off some bloke who wanted to chat with the business owner or director right away. I told him straight away to remove us from his mailing list. He kept saying he wasn’t trying to sell anything. Asked him again why he was ringing and he claimed he was 'important' and had crucial matters to discuss with the owner. Didn’t even know their name! So, I told him once more to stop contacting us. Proper rude guy!

I had a call from a woman asking for the owner or director of St Barnabas Council. It was clear right away she was a scammer, probably reading from some badly written script.

Got a recorded call claiming to be my card company warning about some dodgy charges. It said to press 1 to talk to someone... as if! I reckon anyone trusting enough might end up handing over their bank info!

Got a call from someone saying they were with DRS, asking for 'St Barnabas Council' but they wouldn't explain what it was regarding. We don’t have a council by that name here. Earlier, we got a letter insisting we owed money to HMRC, but it didn’t include any HMRC reference number, and while the letter seemed legit, it didn’t show the official HMG emblem anywhere. Pretty sure it’s a total SCAM.

It was actually a debt collector calling from HMRC. They said they had to chat with the director and couldn’t explain what it was regarding since it’s debt-related and supposed to be kept private.

Received a call from someone claiming to represent HMRC, insisting that my business had outstanding tax obligations. However, after verifying with HMRC directly, it turns out we owe nothing at all. They even went so far as to send dodgy letters demanding a payment of £442.80 into their own bank account. Naturally, I refused to comply and am now in touch with HMRC's complaints team to flag this as a potential scam.

They rang me a couple of times and kept asking for the company director. Wouldn’t tell me what the call was about and just kept going on about speaking to the director. I left them on hold for a bit then ended the call. Definitely sounded like a scam to me!

I got a call from someone speaking with a Bristol accent who said they were from "DRS" and wanted to talk to a director at our firm. When I asked what the call was about, he mentioned an invoice but refused to give any details unless I passed some sort of "security" check. His tone was quite pushy and that made me feel uneasy straight away. He said they’d sent us a letter, but we never got anything. Then he pushed again for me to complete this "security" step. Something didn’t seem right so I called him out on it and ended the call. Honestly, felt very fishy.

They keep ringing every few days with some recorded message, hoping you'll call back, but there’s no clue who they even are. Complete waste of time, honestly.
