Guess what, I just got one of those scams again, you know the one with the "car accident" story. The calls came through from 01513246677, 01513245555 and once even from a weird number, just "1024". They're still at it, be careful!

Got a call from them two days in a row, saying Microsoft was compromised on my computer. Problem is, I don't even own a computer.
When I pushed for more info, they just ended the call.

Got a call supposedly from the national accident helpline, but the person couldnt speak English properly. Tried telling them my name was Pullin Yapeka, but they just ignored it and wouldnt listen at all.

Got a call from them yesterday saying I'd been involved in some accident that never happened. I made it crystal clear they had the wrong person. Would you believe it, they rang me again today! I just ignored it. My number isn’t listed anywhere.

I got a call that seemed like it was automated, but it cut off as soon as I picked up. They’ve called me a couple of times now, saying they’re from National Accident Helpline. According to them, I could claim compensation for a car crash where the other driver supposedly admitted fault.

I got a call claiming to be from the National Accident Helpline, saying I’d had a car accident a couple of years back. They said I was owed some compensation that had supposedly been paid out by the other driver's insurer. I told them I wasn’t expecting anything as I hadn’t suffered any loss. Then they put me through to someone claiming to be their manager, who repeated the same story and insisted they’d been in touch with the other driver’s insurance and that money was just waiting for me. I asked which insurer they’d been talking to, and he said Aviva. I told him that was wrong, and asked who he thought it was. When I said I doubted they ever spoke to the insurer, he just ended the call on me!

Within minutes, this number kept calling all the desks in our office, which was super frustrating since spam calls on work phones are pretty rare for us. They said we'd been involved in a car crash, which was a strange and upsetting thing to hear out of the blue.
