Absolutely infuriating! These pests seem to have taken up permanent residence on my phone, calling me daily, sometimes multiple times. They’re relentless in their pursuit of my partner's mobile number. Just today alone, I had two calls from them before noon! I attempted to hang up on the first call, but that didn’t deter them in the slightest. Honestly, how on earth does one get rid of these nuisances? I've been getting calls from them every few days about a crash I was involved in last year. It wasn't my fault, and the other insurance covered everything. All settled. I told him to take my number off their list, but then he started shouting that he’s a solicitor and had to talk to me. I just told him again to delete my number and not to call me ever again, then told him to f### off. He rang back and got really rude, but I just hung up on him while he was carrying on!

My daughter, who has learning difficulties, picked up the phone and ended up telling the person a made-up tale about a car crash, even giving out our home address by mistake. Since then, he's phoned a couple more times and has been very rude, even calling my son a liar and getting quite hostile with me when I refused to let him talk to her again. I can't believe they get away with behaviour like this. I'm going to attempt to block his number but feeling uneasy because he knows where we live.

The smartest way to deal with these scammers is just to keep them hanging. I told one I’d crashed on the 31st of February and he actually bought it! Then I claimed there were four of us in a Ferrari, and he didn’t question it. I threw in a fake reg plate, something like F 0ff, and that’s when he finally cottoned on. Honestly, the only way they’ll ever learn is if we make them waste their time and cash.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from some accident helpline, talking about an accident I supposedly had (I don’t even have a car). I told him to stop calling me. Two minutes later, he rings again but then started saying weird inappropriate stuff. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from Liverpool about some accident compensation. They started off rude and pushy, then passed me onto a ‘manager’. I just gave them the answers they seemed to want to hear, and after a while, they turned proper nasty. It was kind of funny really, ruining a few mins of my day but kinda satisfying. Next time they ring, I’ll give them a taste of their own medicine - maybe they’ll get the message then.

This number rang me up a few times in one day, trying to sell me a website for my business because apparently I didn’t have one. I told them I did, but they just pushed an upgrade instead. Each time, the person on the other end had really bad English which made the whole thing quite frustrating. I got a call from this number, which apparently belongs to some “manager” at the national accident helpline. I’d already ended a call with one of their reps who was trying to patch me through to him. When he got on the line, he asked if I’d been involved in an accident with no fault within the last two years, then claimed I was owed compensation that the other party’s insurer had released. I told him I wasn’t due anything as I hadn’t suffered any loss. He insisted they’d spoken to the other insurer and there was compensation waiting for me. So, I asked which insurance company he’d been dealing with, and he said Aviva. I said that wasn’t right and asked who it really was. After I said I doubted he’d even contacted the insurer, he just hung up. This number is linked to 01513245555 too. Both calls felt like nuisance calls and probably some kind of scam.

This number kept calling me over and over. When I finally answered, the guy claimed I could get compensation for a crash that "wasn't my fault". I told him actually it was my fault, then he switched gears and said I had a passenger with me. I said there was no passenger, but he insisted there was a record of one, so they could claim compensation. When I asked what they wanted, he said nothing. Told him I’m registered with the telephone preference service, but he still kept ringing me even after I hung up. Proper annoying.
