Brilliant site. My number is unlisted but honestly, that doesn't seem to stop these days with all the tech around! We endd up buying a phone that lets you block numbers (after faffing about with the settings a bit). These callers just keep ringing non stop for hours or even days until you pick up, or sometimes they move on to bother someone else. Depends on my mood really, but if I do answer, I'll ask details like when and where the accident was, what car was involved, who gave them my number?? It cracks me up cause they prob can't even tell ME that stuff thanks to data protection! Hahaha.

Got two calls from this number today, both to a business number that’s ex-directory. Sounds like some call centre from outside the UK. They claimed I’d been in an accident back in January, which I know never happened. I asked where they got their info and they said “Road Safety UK” - total nonsense. When I asked how they got an ex-directory number, they just hung up straight away.

They claimed they found my number through some accident records and that someone here had a crash in the past two years. That’s completely untrue. I reckon they’re gonna ask for a credit card deposit to start a claim. Whatever you do, don’t give them any info.

So, I got a ring from this bloke claiming he worked in some accident claims team. When I asked him what accident he meant, he said something about one I had last year. I told him it’s strange that he’s ringing me if he can’t even remember the details. Then I started grilling him, asking for his name, the company he was with, and a bunch of other stuff. He sounded all over the place and eventually just hung up on me.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying I’d been in a car accident. I went along with it and said yeah, I’d crashed but the bonnet ended up smacking my bits. He hung up pretty quick after that! LOL

Had this caller with an Asian accent, really difficult to make out what he was saying. Started going on about some car crash I never had. I straight up told him he’s a scammer but he kept going. Asked for his firm’s name and where they were, he mumbled something like Lawyers & Attorneys from Liverpool, which doesn’t seem real. Told him to put me on the do-not-call list and he said he’d check with his bosses. Pretty sure my info got nicked from that TalkTalk data breach.

I just got a ring from this number. The bloke said he was from the National Accident Helpline, mentioning some road office in Oldham. He wanted me to admit if I’d been involved in an accident, but I said no. Then he started getting rude, talking over me and telling me to pay attention. I told him we’re on the telephone preference service and asked him to take our number off his list, but he refused unless I confirmed the accident. I kept saying I didn’t want any more calls and then ended the call.

Tried to get in touch with someone at my address who supposedly had an accident in the past couple of years. When I asked for their name, the caller said it was confidential and that they got the info from the Road Safety authority. I told him there’s no such place, but he argued and wouldn’t back down. Kept demanding to speak to this made-up person. I asked who exactly he wanted to talk to but he wouldn’t say. Surely some folks might fall for this nasty scam. I just laughed and hung up on him.

On 6th July 2016, a woman claiming to be "Elena" from something called the National Accident Hot Line rang me up, asking to speak to whoever had apparently been involved in an accident in the last two years linked to my phone number. I told her straight away she sounded like a scammer. She denied it at first. Then I asked for the injured person's name and when the accident happened. She said that info was secret. I told her again she was trying to scam me, then ended the call.
