Both our phone numbers, which we've got registered with TPS and not on any list, got rings from 0151 324 5501 today. Every time we picked up, the call just cut off. It's really frustrating cause even using 1471 to check the caller, it shows a fake number. Plus, when I try calling back, it just says "number not recognised." Seriously, when will BT start doing something about these annoying calls?

Had the exact same thing around 4:30 this afternoon, some Indian bloke was talking about my holiday insurance claim. Thing is, I haven't been on a holiday in 15 years since I look after my disabled mum! When I told him that, he just didn’t believe me and dropped the call. Definitely a total scam.

Just got a call from some bloke calling himself "Kevin" claiming to be from "Accident Care" on 01513245501. Honestly, I've heard every scam line going but this one takes the biscuit. I just shove the phone in a drawer and let the call ring on and on. Seems to do the trick 'cause I don’t get calls from them again for weeks. If they reckon I’m daft, they’re the ones missing the mark. Makes me think what a drawer sounds like inside - probably just as dull and miserable as their calls.

This number rang my home phone, which I’ve signed up with TPS. Didn’t pick up as I didn’t recognise it, then looked it up here - glad I did! Looks very dodgy, considering legal papers were just sent to solicitors about someone who’s basically wrecked my life after a car crash. Just got a call saying there’d been a car crash. I told them I could track their number and to stop calling me. They claimed to be some legal company and said go ahead, trace us if you want. I made it clear I knew it was a con, but they kept pushing, so I just said whatever and ended the call.

Got a call from an Indian call centre saying it was about a crash I had on the roads in the last couple of years. Told them my number is on the TPS and that they weren’t allowed to ring me. She asked if I was alright now, and I said no, I’d lost all my limbs and an ear. She kept going anyway. Ended up hanging up. Honestly, who do they think actually buys this stuff?

This was definitely a dodgy call, even though they knew some info about an accident I was involved in last year. We went over the details for a while, and then they started pushing me to agree to a compensation claim, wrongly implying I’d been hurt, which I kept saying was not true. I got pretty annoyed and told them I wouldn’t be part of any fake claim before hanging up. Not long after, they rang back, this time saying they were a senior member who thought I had a valid case and tried convincing me to go ahead, claiming no medical report would be needed. I told them straight up I wouldn’t be involved in any scam and ended the conversation.

This was totally a scam call. I rang my internet company after the caller, speaking really bad English, warned me my internet would be cut off for a month! After checking myself, that was nowhere near true. When I asked his name, he said 'Kevin Smith' - honestly, couldn’t even come up with a better fake name! He attempted to give me some code but completely butchered the phonetic alphabet. I'm definitely blocking this number. Without a doubt, it's a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from TalkTalk. I told TalkTalk about it. They said my router was the issue and asked me to plug my computer into it. Then they got me to visit a site where they could see my screen. After that, they claimed I was due a refund for trouble and asked for my bank info, all while watching my screen. There might be other tricks too, but basically, it’s definitely a scam number.
