They claimed they were ringing about an accident I was supposedly involved in, saying they got my contact from another firm. I cut her off and said no way, you’ve got my details illegally about an accident I wasn’t part of. She denied it. I told them I’d report them and then she just ended the call. The woman spoke with an Indian accent and didn’t even know my full name, just the first. When I looked up the number, it showed up as some door and shutter company in Liverpool or Bolton.

An Asian gentleman rang an ex-directory number belonging to my elderly mother, who’s 88. Luckily, I was present to answer the call. I didn’t divulge any details but asked to speak with a manager.
