Got a call today from 0151 324 2881 at about 12 noon, some automated voice claiming it was about tax fraud and telling me to press 1 or face being arrested soon. When I pressed a button, the call just cut off immediately. I've reached out to HMRC via email for some clarity since I can't find any info about this scam anywhere on their site. Honestly, it really freaked me out. What’s worrying is I’m only using a PAYG SIM on VOXI that's just a couple of weeks old - makes me wonder if my details are being passed around or sold somehow? Be careful and warn your mates!
