This number rang me and I was polite, but the bloke on the other end was really cheeky, telling me to sort out my attitude. I didn’t hold back and told him where to shove it before hanging up. I blocked the number, but then they called again from a mobile, so I was less nice and blocked straight away. After that, another call came through from a London number, same firm. These lot are dodgy, they’re nicking numbers off Gumtree after you put up a car advert. Absolute muppets.

I've received multiple calls from the number that ends with 3204. Every time I pick up, it's just silence on the other end. It's been quite irritating, as I've had four of these calls in just the past two days!

Got a call from this Liverpool call centre today 21.7.15 around 11:25, so I searched the number online. It’s strange as I’d just put up some ads on Gumtree as well. Looks like they’re trying to fish for accident claims. I’ve blocked the number now.

Some comments about scousers seemed a bit rough, but yeah, it was a Liverpool number. And about finding the number on Gumtree, that’s true as well, but let’s be honest, plenty of companies do the same thing all over the UK.

I put up an ad on Gumtree and the very next day got a call from this number saying they could assist me with compensation for an "accident claim". I’m positive they got my number from Gumtree because I only use my middle name on there, and the woman with the Liverpudlian accent who called asked for me by that name. I absolutely hate scammers and fraudsters...

Yeah, same here. About 4 days after putting up my ad on gumtree, I started getting strange ‘urgent’ calls from this number. Blocked it straight away. Also been getting scammy texts saying they’re ‘very interested in my item’ (but never saying what exactly) and wanting to buy it without even seeing it. They ask me to email them to sort out payment via Paypal. As if! Honestly, really grateful for this ‘Who-Called-Who’ site!

Posted an ad on Gumtree and the next day got a call asking me about my “accident”. Told the person to get lost cos they were talking rubbish, and she said “yeah, I’m talking a lot of rubbish” then just hung up on me.

I received a call on the 14th of July, 2015, during the late afternoon hours. The caller inquired about an accident that I'd never been involved in-thankfully, I've managed to steer clear of any mishaps thus far! I let the young lady, who identified herself as Michelle, know that the supposed accident led to a fatality. I asked her for more information about her identity, how she obtained my number, and requested her full contact details for the purpose of passing them along to our solicitor in order to investigate a harassment claim. She acknowledged that I was reaching out to my lawyer, promptly apologised, and then abruptly terminated the call after assuring me she would take my number off their database. This all took place in Fife, Scotland.

Got a call the other day asking if I’d been in a car crash. Straight away I knew it was one of those calls trying to snag business, but I was interested to see what they were about. Told them I hadn’t been in an accident, then they tried to find out if anyone in my family had. Seemed really sketchy. When I asked who it was, she just ended the call. I’m going to report it to Ofcom, hoping they can look into the number.

Direct Response (Liverpool) called me about a crash they said I was involved in. I told them I wasn’t in any accident, then they asked if any of my family had, so I just told them to bugger off. That was the end of it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from DIRECT RESPONSE, sounded like they were from Liverpool (had a Liverpool accent and area code). They said it was about a recent road accident, which is total rubbish. Pretty sure they scraped my disposable SIP number off Gumtree or something. Random cold caller from a company I’ve never dealt with, talking about a made-up incident and pushing some no-win-no-fee compensation scheme. When I asked for their real company name, she just refused to say and then hung up on me. Dodgy as hell!
