Figured it might be the doctor's office or something important. Turned out to be a woman with an Indian accent asking if my house had any leaks or cracks. Only 5 days into the year and scammers are already everywhere. I've had calls about life insurance issues, three separate car accidents, my funeral being cancelled unless I pay a £2000 bill within 2 days, HMRC saying I owe tax and will be arrested if I don’t pay right away, and a few others along with this one. I’ve stopped answering and just block every suspicious number now. If it’s something legit like insurance, their company name or caller ID will show, so I know who’s genuine. So, first time I got a call from some foreign woman claiming to be from a housing group, but wouldn’t give me her name when I asked. She said it was about repairs. Then she put me through to a bloke with a foreign accent who asked the same thing again. Today, another “manager” called me, again foreign, with the same line.
