Got a call about car insurance, and the person on the line turned out to be from Manchester ?? Just to say, comments about where someone’s from don’t really add anything to the situation. It’s just one of those predictive dialler cold calls done on a whim, and honestly, the calls are irritating no matter where the caller is based!

Called got no reply when I answered. Gotta say, some of the comments here are a bit unfair, like just because the callers are from Liverpool, all the blame goes there. I get calls from all over the UK, not just Liverpool. I’m not from Liverpool myself and still reckon this is over the top. Relax, it’s just another scam call. From what I see in the comments, they keep swapping the company name and what they’re about. One minute it’s 'accident claims', next it’s a legal service. I got called by 'Legal Direct Solutions' myself. Just some cold calling, probably trying to catch anyone with legal troubles - I’d just block it.

Got a call from a woman who asked, "Have you or your spouse made a claim with your insurance?" I said no, then she just said thanks and hung up. I called back because I got worried maybe it was something about me - I freaked out thinking I'd missed reporting some big accident. Turns out they’re just fishing to see if you've made a claim about a crash. Best thing to do is block the number. The bloke from their ‘legal’ team was quite decent and removed me from their call list when I asked.
