This number from Loughborough is connected to Mobile Phones Direct, I found out after checking with my network because I thought it might be a bit dodgy. The caller was quite dodgey too, not wanting to answer questions properly after being friendly initially. So I had to look into it more, especially since the call caused my sim to stop working right. I was told it's standard procedure since the third party works with EE, and it’s how things go when you accept an upgrade - your old sim stops working until your new phone and sim arrive, just like they said.
