got a call earlier from this number, it was a robot voice saying it was hmrc and they’re gonna sue me, telling me to press 1 to talk to them. i just ended the call straight away. tried calling back but it only lets you leave a voicemail. hoping this is just some sort of scam.

I picked up and all I could hear was this crackling sound, no one actually talking. They were ringing me up in the dead of night too. Strange.

Got a call from a lady's recorded voice saying it was BT. She warned my internet would be disconnected today because my line was hacked or something, and asked me to press 1 to speak with BT. Sounds like a total scam to me.

When I picked up, there was nothing but silence and a bit of crackling, like one of those recorded messages was about to play or had just stopped. The number was shown as 1471, but I didn’t know it, so I decided not to ring back.
