Every single day, our office answerphone gets a message from this supposed Worldpay, claiming it’s a matter of urgency. However, I’ve never felt the need to return the call. - Caller: Worldpay

I keep getting calls from World Pay, they seem to target small businesses. They ring me every single day even though I’ve told them to stop quite a few times. They try to be sneaky by getting you to ring a local number back so you can’t tell who it actually is. The real number they’re using is 01158456700.

world pay is rubbish, took money from me without telling, such a pain to deal with them!

Blimey, would you believe it? I've had this number lingering on my Reject List for yonks! I'm fairly certain it's WorldPay giving me a ring. My mobile record shows they've been trying to reach me monthly since March, yet I hadn’t attached a name to the number, hence it sat on my reject list. My phone has successfully binned their attempts a total of six times. Based on my online sleuthing, it looks like they’re peddling card payment terminals for small businesses. Seeing as I don’t run a business of any sort, big or small, they can keep on doing the rounds on my Reject List. Everything points to WorldPay being behind this whole saga - I even blocked my landline, gave them a bell, and received an out-of-hours message (it was past half six) that informed me this was WorldPay’s office and to try again tomorrow during business hours. As if! If they’ve been at it once or twice a month since March, it hardly sounds urgent does it? Plus, they didn’t even have my name on file. I had a fleeting thought that perhaps someone might have passed on my number for a payment-related issue, but four months of this nonsense makes me think otherwise. Rather convoluted, if it isn’t actually WorldPay. Interestingly, some obstructed calls didn't show up as rejected, yet others popped up on my voicemail with no number attached, indicating they’re trying to disguise their identity in a bid to bypass my Reject List! What a cheek! Just today, there was an auto-rejected call at 11:33, closely followed by a missed call and a voicemail at 11:34. Clearly, they must have hidden their digits for that one. I absolutely detest underhanded tactics from companies. A quick glance at my phone logs reveals that each time they've been auto-rejected, they’ve cleverly concealed their number and attempted to ring me again. Luckily, my answering app kicks in instead. I should count my blessings really - my signal is usually so weak at home that I rarely get disrupted by these annoying cold callers!

Blimey! It appears I've had this number earmarked as unwanted for ages. I suspect it’s WorldPay. They've been ringing me monthly since March, based on my mobile records, but I never thought to label them, hence their place on my Reject List. My phone has turned them away half a dozen times. From what I've gathered online, they seem to be peddling card payment terminals to small businesses. The thing is, I don’t own a business of any size, so they can continue to sit on my Reject List. It does seem to be WorldPay, as I blocked my landline, gave them a bell, and all I got was an out-of-hours voicemail (it was past 6:30 PM) informing me that this was WorldPay's office, and to try again during regular hours. Not that I have any intention of doing that! If they’ve been ringing me once or twice every month since March, it can’t be all that pressing. Curiously, they didn’t even mention my name. I briefly pondered whether someone might’ve passed on my mobile for some payment-related matter, but after four months of persistent calls, I’m not buying it. Seems a bit elaborate for anything else if it isn’t WorldPay. Interestingly, some calls got automatically blocked, while others came through as Missed Calls with no caller ID, suggesting they’re trying to pull a fast one by disguising their number to evade my Reject List! How cheeky! Just today, there was a call dismissed at 11:33, quickly followed by a missed call and a voicemail at 11:34. Funny enough, it would have been rejected, but they must have concealed their number this time. I really can’t stand underhanded companies. Reviewing my call log and voicemail, each time they’ve been auto-ignored, they’ve cleverly hidden their number and tried again - my voicemail then picks it up instead. I’m quite fortunate, really, as my mobile signal at home is usually so weak that cold callers seldom get through.

After doing a bit of digging online, I decided to block my landline number from displaying and rang the number they left on my mobile to check if it genuinely was WorldPay, as the message suggested. It indeed sounded like WorldPay, or at least that's what the recorded message claimed. They informed me they were closed and to ring back during working hours, which was rather unhelpful considering I called after 6:30 pm. It’s been ages since I operated a business, nearly a decade, and I've noticed from other users' remarks that WorldPay often resorts to cold calling in an attempt to peddle their card terminals to small enterprises. Safe to say, I won’t be returning their call or picking up if they try to reach me on my mobile again!

I received an unsolicited sales call from WorldPay today. The caller identified themselves as representing the company and it felt quite pushy.
